The world of Red Dead Redemption 2 is so familiar to us, yet there’s open-world secrets we’re only just discovering.

At this point, we’re all wondering if we’ll ever be done with Red Dead Redemption 2.

Not that we particularly mind still finding hidden bunkers and terrifying secrets that'll have us all gathered around our consoles in the nursing home.

As you can see, there’s already plenty of excuses to use when starting yet another playthrough, like a free New Game Plus option.

It's time to discover the other secrets waiting to be unearthed in Red Dead Redemption 2

But that isn’t as wholesome a reason as this open-world experience.

All those cats you’ve seen during your travels as Arthur do more than stand around being cute.

In fact, they have “daily activities”.

Just like our real life furry companions, these kitties have things to do, grass to chew, prey to hunt, and a world to watch go by.

And, let’s be honest, they've got several bottles to knock over before the day is done.

That’s already made us want to explore the landscape in search of feline friends.

However, it’s been brought to our attention it isn’t just the cats of RDR2 that have things to be doing when you’re not around.

Rockstar Games really thought of everything during the development of this treasured adventure.

According to Twitter user Leorick Girthrie, “All animals have routines. Even a possum is playing dead.”

What is more, it takes feigning death very seriously.

None of this will alter the story or the path that both Arthur and John are on, however, it adds further depth to what’s an already sublime game.

The next time you see a cat while riding your horse, maybe you should stop and follow it to see what it gets up to.

It may just surprise you.
