One of the biggest free-to-play RPGs on PlayStation 5 is getting a massive expansion, and keeping fans glued to their controllers.

Honkai: Star Rail, the free-to-play gacha game from HoYoverse is entering a new phase with the latest update, version 3.7, bring more adventures to PlayStation, PC, and mobile.

Jumping into this vast RPG nowadays feels like an epic task, with so much story already out there and more characters to invest in than you can shake a body pillow at.

However, the anime adventure keeps growing, giving players exactly what they want, with more drama, new plots, and even new game modes.

Update 3.7, dubbed ‘As Tomorrow Became Yesterday,’ will bring players a brand-new character called Cyrene, new powerful enemies to vanquish, and some limited-time modes to enjoy.

The latest trailer shows off everything, and it’s getting fans excited to see whether their favourite character lives or dies.

This update arrives on 5 November 2025, and brings with it “the climactic finale of the Amphoreous saga,” something fans have been eagerly awaiting.

Aside from a big finale to the ongoing story, there will be a new permanent game mode introduced, called Currency Wars.

Here, players will craft teams of 10 characters from a roster of 61, and then duke it out in combat for plenty of rewards.

In addition, another game mode called Snack Dash will debut, giving Trailblazers a more lighthearted way to play and explore their creativity.

Using the new Trailblaze Fashion system, characters will race through an obstacle course in the hopes of being crowned winner and receiving a bounty of rewards.

This means more customisation for your favourite characters, and there are even a couple of new songs to steal your heart while you explore the new game modes.

Whether you play on console, PC, or mobile, you’ll be able to enjoy the new update next month.
