One upcoming free-to-play action RPG has announced its very first playtest, giving participants the chance to enjoy up to 60-hours of content.
Set to release some time in 2026, Arknights: Endfield is an upcoming action RPG from Chinese developer Hypergryph.
As a spin-off of Hypergryph’s 2019 tower defence title Arknights, Arknights: Endfield is set to launch in the new year on PlayStation 5, PC, and mobile.
In the sci-fi action RPG, players take on the role of the Endministrator, an amnesiac leader of Endfield Industries situated on the dangerous moon of Talos-II.

Forced to survive on a world full of natural disasters, supernatural entities, and unexplored frontiers, the Endministrator must lead a group of operators to explore the untamed land and uncover the mysteries which lurk beneath the moon’s surface.
“Set in the universe of the hit mobile game Arknights, Arknights: Endfield introduces a new immersive story and a frontier world filled with exploration, real-time combat, and base-building,” the official press release reads.
“Players will command teams of up to four operators, all of whom will be fighting along their side simultaneously, allowing for skill combos, elemental synergies, and other coordinated strategies.”

Playtest Officially Revealed
Now ahead of a 2026 launch, a brand-new beta test is about to go live, allowing players to dive into the open-world RPG from 28 November onwards.

The playtest will be available from 28 November for PC and mobile users whilst PlayStation 5 users will have to wait until 12 December to dive in.
The test will give participants access to around 50 to 60 hours of content. However, it is worth noting that as the game is technically unfinished, you may run into a few issues.
However, by reporting such issues and bugs, you can help Arknights: Endfield launch in a much better state come 2026.
Additionally, any progress you make during the beta will not be saved or carried over to your full launch save so it is not worth getting too invested with any items you earn throughout your time in the beta.

With the first beta rolling out from tomorrow onwards, we can expect to hear player’s thoughts on Arknights: Endfield to see if it will be worth diving in for its full launch next year.
So if you are on the lookout for an epic sci-fi RPG with an anime-esque art style, epic combat, and an intriguing story, do not miss out on Arknights: Endfield.
