PS5 Hit Free RPG Drops Major Update, All New Content Added

With a new year now imminent, many of us are returning to our most beloved games, and developers are delivering new and seasonal content for us to enjoy, and to keep the experience fresh.

Now, obviously the best breeding ground for those kinds of forward movements of games are MMOs which allow the developer to continually update the final product to give players something new each time they log-in.

That doesn't mean the fun updates are reserved exclusively for the multiplayer crowd, however, as some of the more active single play games also choose the festive season to deliver a ton of exciting new content for us to play.

Zenless Zone Zero Update is Major Step For the Game

Zenless Zone Zero developer HoYoverse has announced a major update for the game is on the way, with some big content additions that should prove very exciting for existing fans.

In sharing the news with fans, HoYoverse said the following, “The major update propels Proxies into the culminating chapter of Season 2, introducing the upcoming Void Hunter Ye Shunguang, the popular Zhao, a series of highly anticipated events — including expanded Hollow gameplay and multiplayer combat — and extensive optimisations."

“To celebrate the new year and express gratitude for the Proxies' support, Version 2.5 will also grant Proxies a free S-Rank Agent Zhao, 1,000 Polychromes, a new outfit for Jane, and additional rewards.”

The headline addition is the aforementioned arrival of the new Void Hunter Ye Shunguang, the young senior disciple of Yunkui Summit, who serves as the game’s first dual-form Hunter.

Her unique attribute is Honed Edge, which allows the character to enter an Enlightened Mind state, before activating her signature Ether Veil to unleash massive Honed Edge damage, while also applying a vulnerability effect to enemies.

The character is also accompanied by Bangboo Sprout, who fires a bunch of swords at your foes and makes things that little bit easier to get through.

Outside of that, there is going to be some major story beats for the Waifei Peninsula, while the legendary Qingming Sword has begun to resonate with the primordial power of the Creator. This essentially means that there’s set to be a major set of consequences for all of the assistance the Creator has provided Proxies in the past.

In even better news, the update is out right now, so you don’t have to wait to explore everything that it has to offer, which even for this inexperienced player, sounds like it’s going to be a lot.
