PS5 consoles are hiding a time-saving trick everyone needs to know about

PlayStation 5 users are being urged to check their console system settings for a trick that can save some time when starting a new game.

Although the PS5 is now almost five years old, there are still plenty of hidden tips and tricks about the console that many users may not know about.

I mean, unless you go digging through the system settings, you’re probably very unlikely to know about some of these options.

But either way, knowing about the settings and how to change them is a good way to have more control over your system and what it does.

One setting in particular is the “Game Presets” option, which allows you to automatically set defaults for games when you boot them up for the first time.

It allows you to set things like difficulty level, performance mode, subtitles, audio, and camera controls which will apply to all games you play for the first time.

Of course, you can still tweak these settings in-game later on, but it’s a good idea to configure this beforehand if you have a specific preference for any of these options.

To access the Game Presets option on your PlayStation 5 console, head to Settings from the home screen and then navigate to Saved Data and Game/App Settings. Then, find the option for Game Presets.

It’s a particularly good setting if you want to configure accessibility settings too, like subtitles and performance modes. Considering a lot of games can sometimes go straight into gameplay without giving you an options menu to look at first, being able to adjust your accessibility settings ahead of time works out well.

With the PlayStation 6 being “top of mind” for Sony, we imagine that the company will want to expand on the game settings feature in the future to accommodate more options.
