A lot of incredible games have dropped in a short amount of time, meaning it can be difficult to keep track of extras and/or freebies we can download. One such free download you may have missed is from PlayStation.
This PlayStation freebie is for the recently launched Rise of the Ronin, a game we described as “a thrilling revolutionary tale marred by a few pitfalls”. It’s not a perfect game, but it’s by no means a disappointment either.

It seems that most players are in agreement with us, as many have been savouring the complexities of its combat and story. One way you can show your passion for this game beyond simply playing it is to head over to the PlayStation page for the game, log into your account, and then you can claim your reward.

The latest free avatar that’s become available is of Sabuka (Pro-Shogunate); it’ll be available for the next 42 days, meaning you have plenty of time to claim it. “That’s actually a really nice looking card!” posted one impressed fan, if you still need convincing that this free collectable is worth it. There are other collectables waiting, too, for those who need an extra incentive.
You could, instead, choose to wait for the game to eventually make it to PlayStation Plus, like others are planning. However, it’s likely it’ll be quite some time before this fresh-faced release is on the service.
If you’re interested in rarer discoveries, there’s a new PS Plus game players are urging others to play before it’s no longer available. Granted, it’s not a collectable to keep forever and forever, but the game in question is a sleeper hit that many overlook.
Regardless of whether you’re team collectables or not, the Rise of the Ronin is an enjoyable title that’s worth checking out if you haven’t already.
