PlayStation Plus subscribers are being particularly complimentary about a very odd looking title that I’ve been meaning to try for a long time, and they’ve already done a great job at convincing me to try it ASAP.
A bunch of great or otherwise well-known titles found their way onto PlayStation Plus last month, but it seems that subscribers have zeroed in on the weirdest title (by quite a large margin) of the bunch.
Am I referring to Sword of the Sea, the water skateboarding game from the minds behind Journey? Nope. What about Unicorn Overlord, the fantastic tactical RPG by Atlus? Also nope. Alright, what about Mortal Kombat 1? Haha, just kidding– nobody in their right mind would recommend you play that one.
No, the game the PlayStation community wants you to play is… Indika. What’s Indika, you ask? Good bloody question, because that’s not an easy one to answer.

It’s a third-person, narrative-focused adventure game (with some light puzzle elements) about a nun, developed by Odd-Meter and published by 11 Bit Studios.
Yeah, you read that correctly; it’s a game about a nun. Trust me when I say that’s probably the most normal thing about this game.
It would also seem that Indika is an easy game to spoil, based on the comments in a thread over on the r/PlayStationPlus subreddit, but I don’t think that’s the entire reason people are being so vague about it. I think, perhaps, it’s just so bonkers that people can’t truly sum up the entire experience.
That being said, you’d be hard-pressed to find a comment in the thread that isn’t extremely complimentary.

“I loved this game. Narrative-wise is a masterpiece,” commented user Sibucryp.
“How it uses the gameplay to tell the story is brilliant. It's also full of symbolism all through the game which makes it seem surreal but it has a purpose. The only other game that I remember combined story elements with the gameplay almost perfectly was Braid.”
“I finished it maybe three days ago and I loved it,” replied user hopefulfloating.
“A quick, surreal experience you won’t forget. You gotta stick with it. It’s just bizarre and funny in ways you won’t see coming. Praise be!”

Alright, fine– I’ll play it. Jeez.
This one has been sitting on my wishlist since I watched the first trailer back in 2024, so I think it’s time I give it a proper go.
And hey, it is free on PlayStation Plus, so… I guess I really have no excuse this time.
