PlayStation Plus users are sharing a trick that allows them to get more bang for their buck when resubscribing.

Every month, users subscribed to any tier of PlayStation Plus can claim the monthly essential tier games.

It’s essentially three to four games that are free to claim and add to your account, which can then be accessed any time for as long as you’re subscribed.

These games typically stay free for the month and are then removed from the offer once a new month rolls around, only to be replaced by a new set of games.

One PlayStation Plus user is sharing a trick they’ve used that allows users to grab three months’ worth of games with only a one-month subscription.

“If you time it right, you can claim three months of games (nine games) using a one month subscription (something around 5th or 6th Oct), you can get Sep-Oct-Nov games and add them to your library,” writes one user on the PlayStation Plus Reddit page.

As they said, subscribing at the start of the month just before the new games arrive, you’ll be able to claim last month’s games. Then, wait for the current month’s games to be added and add them.

Finally, you should be able to claim next month’s games as they’re added just before your subscription expires.

There is a drawback to this, however, as one user noted in the comments. These games can only be played while you’re a paying subscriber. So, unsubscribing after claiming all the games means you can’t play them until you resubscribe.

However, it’s a good trick if you’re a little light on cash and want to claim a bunch of free games for the future.

If you intend on resubscribing again in a few months’ time, you’ll have almost a dozen new games to play at no extra cost.
