PlayStation Plus users are celebrating a free game currently available on the service as a “life changing experience”.
If you ask me, the best thing about PlayStation Plus is that you get access to a whole load of free games that you can play on your PlayStation console.
Not only can you save a little cash than if you were to buy these games outright, but it also opens you up to new experiences that you never would have thought of having.
That’s certainly the case with one PlayStation Plus user who recently played through Road 96 to completion, calling it a “life changing experience”.

Road 96 is a game where your character hits the road in search of adventure and freedom, and meets a variety of different characters during their road trip to the border.
It’s essentially part-survival game, part-adventure, and part-choice based. The characters you meet have a lasting impact on you, and the choices you make come to effect not just your journey, but theirs.
“Excellent! Glad it landed well for you,” reads a reply in the comments section. “Not sure if it's the art direction, the music or the general soundscape, but that game has such a unique feel to it.”

“I thought the game was really good,” reads another reply. “Nice setting, premise, art, music etc. It almost gives a Life Is Strange feel. Personally, there's one big issue I had with it and that's the dialogue. It just felt too jarring at times for certain scenes.”
“Playing Road 96 gave me a brief reminiscence of that youthful feeling I had, yearning to get the hell out of where I was, to get in a car with friends and just go far away and meeting strangers. They were nice memories and I appreciate the game for tapping into that,” a third comment wrote.
Having played Road 96 myself a few years back, I’d definitely back these comments up and say it’s a pretty unique experience with an excellent artistic direction.
So, if you’re yet to check it out, be sure to do so.
