One of the latest games on PlayStation Plus is being described as “pretty fun” following initial disappointment at its inclusion.

PlayStation Plus has been interesting this month. For starters, we got the surprise announcement that cloud-streaming will soon be available for Premium subscribers, and we also got some new games for the Extra game library and three more free Essential games.

Check out PlayStation Plus’ cloud-streaming announcement below!

The topic of today’s discussion is the three free Essential tier games though, which many assumed would include some spooky titles to get us all into the Halloween spirit.

That was sort of half true, as we did get The Callisto Project, which is worth checking out for the gorgeous graphics alone and if you’re a fan of Dead Space since it’s supposed to be a spiritual successor. We also got Weird West, a decent title but not very exciting, and finally, the scariest game of them all, Farming Simulator 22.

Why they picked Farming Simulator 22 for October’s offering is anyone’s guess, but according to the ones bold enough to give it a try, it’s surprisingly fun.

Reddit user fluttermybutter shared their experience with the game on the PlayStation subreddit, saying: “Farming Simulator is actually pretty fun. I know it sounds dumb, but once you start the tutorial, you get to try out the gameplay mechanics right away and it's unexpectedly addicting. It's free for PS Plus right now so try it out and you be the judge.”

A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one, as if you’re into more laid-back games or farming games in general, it probably is a worthwhile download for you.

Other PlayStation Plus subscribers were weirdly into it too, with many saying its simplistic gameplay and chilled-out vibes made it quite fun to play.

“Ya I used to scoff and roll my eyes at Farm Sim. Never knew what it was or understood the appeal. I've now happily spent a good chunk of time on it.”

“Only fun for me with friends, it's a good no-brain game to just shoot the s*** while you play.”

“It's a niche audience game but very popular and very well made. I haven't played the latest couple because once I start it gets insanely addictive.”

If these testimonies have convinced you to try it yourself, you can claim and download Farming Simulator 22 right now if you’re subscribed to PlayStation Plus Essential or higher.
