PlayStation Plus continues to be the gift that keeps on giving with a flurry of new games for subscribers to enjoy each and every month.

As of 2022, Sony’s PlayStation Plus subscription service is available in three tiers, Essential, Extra and Premium. Essential is the same PS Plus service that existed before, just with a new name that still offers a selection of new monthly titles as well as other perks such as discounts and bonus DLC.

Whereas the Extra tier offers everything that Essential includes but with additional PS4 and PS5 games. As for the Premium tier, this includes everything included in Essential and Extra, but with a collection of classic PS1, PS2, PS3 and PSP games. It also offers bonus features such as cloud streaming and quite generous trials, mostly.

Depending on the game, trials can vary drastically in length. For example, Hogwarts Legacy offers a Ron (W)measly 0.75 hours, but Cyberpunk 2077 offers a maximum trial allocation of five hours. It makes sense for Cyberpunk 2077 to offer the five hours, after all, it’s a massive game, but so too is Hogwarts Legacy which makes the lowly 0.75 hours all that more disappointing.

Anyway, let’s get to the topic of today’s discussion. One other game that is taking advantage of the PS Plus trials is LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. This collection of wonderful games includes every Star Wars main entry, built from the ground up in its glorious LEGO form. Honestly, it’s truly a massive game in its own right and according to ‘How Long to Beat’, it can take up to 86.5 hours to achieve everything that the game has to offer.

We can wholeheartedly recommend LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, even if the PS Plus trial is a measly one hour. Still, we suppose it’s better than Hogwarts Legacy’s 0.75, at least.

In our review of LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, we said it’s: “the complete Star Wars video game experience, in a way only a LEGO game can be. If there was ever to be a Skywalker Saga: The Video Game ‘proper’, it wouldn’t have a chance to let players experience all the wild wonders of the universe like this. A movie-faithful adaptation wouldn’t let you run around Hoth as General Grievous alongside Yaddle and, in all honestly, that's all I’ve ever wanted.”

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is out now on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
