PlayStation users are feeling more than a little frustrated by a recent opportunity to claim some free store credit.

Being able to get PlayStation free store credit should be a cause for celebration, however, it’s proving to be anything but for gamers.

The reason why everyone is feeling cheated here is because they already own the games they need to play to get the credit.

It’s been an issue slowing worsening if you’re a follower of PlayStation Stars campaigns.

One of Sony’s newest opportunities offers 50 points to users who play the “great games” listed.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Baldur’s Gate 3, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Deluxe Edition, and WWE 2K24 Cross-Gen Edition are the titles on the menu.

Let’s be real, most people interested in these experiences have already purchased them.

Unfortunately, this doesn’t register when you try to “complete” this campaign.

As a result, you’re left without free store credit you technically should be able to collect but can’t.

“I buy a lot of games on release, and I hate to see this later on,” said Redditor Party01.

Even if you restart the game, it won’t count because you haven’t bought and started playing it since this campaign went live.

It’s an infuriating technicality.

Yet, as other PS players have pointed out, it’s the aim of the company to make more money.

“This campaign isn't for you, it's to incentivise players who still haven't bought those games yet,” they explained.

However, while this is true, like user _aChu mentioned, it would be “nice” if PlayStation still gave you the points.

After all, you have bought the game, just not when it wanted you to.

If you’re one of the lucky few who haven’t played the aforementioned titles, you’re in for a sweet 50 points boost should you bite the bullet and purchase one of them.

Returning players, however, must simply grin and bear the injustice of it all.
