With the prices of both hardware and software being increased over recent years, the release of brand-new AAA games can be a major blow for our bank accounts.

I am sure it is not just me that remembers a time when the latest video game did not cost £60/70 but unfortunately, due to the cost of living crisis and the increase in taxes in many countries around the world, spending this much on just one game is just an unfortunate part of life.

However, if you look around enough, you may find companies trying to help out by offering ways to use discounts to your advantage on some of the major online gaming stores such as the PlayStation Store.

We have already reported on a way to get a Steam gift card for absolutely free but now there is also some good news for PlayStation users.

Thanks to American online retailer Newegg, some lucky PlayStation gamers can nab a whopping $100 gift card for just $90.

There is no denying that $100 will be an excellent gift to a loved one and if you can save $10 purchasing it, that is even better.

To take advantage of this deal, you can head to the Newegg website and search for the $100 gift card.

Once here, add it to your basket and then enter the code ‘SSE597’ at checkout to receive your $10 discount.

The gift card will be sent to you via email and can be exchanged for anything on the PlayStation Store including games, add-ons, subscriptions and more.

However, the bad news is that the sale ends in just 17 hours so if you want to grab a lovely little gift for a loved one, make sure you hurry.

Now is also the perfect time to take advantage of this sale as 2025 still has a lot to give when it comes to incredible new game releases.

For example, Ghost of Yōtei is set to launch for the PlayStation 5 on 2 October.

As the highly anticipated sequel to Ghost of Tsushima, the PlayStation 5 exclusive is already expected to be a Game of the Year contender.

Not only that but the Sucker Punch action-adventure game expected to retail at £69.99 on the PlayStation Store, this $100 gift card will cover it and leave you some change towards a major discount on your next purchase.

So make sure you hurry over to Newegg to take advantage of this cheeky little deal.
