We’re already halfway through May, and it’s been a great month for games, but there are still some bangers around the corner.

One of these is PS5 action game, Blades of Fire, and it’s coming from the impressive team behind Nintendo hit, Metroid Dread.

Blades of Fire is out soon, but a demo is out sooner

The full game is due to launch on 22 May, but PlayStation owners can get an early taste of the game with a demo that is available before release.

You don’t need PlayStation Plus for this opportunity, either, the demo will be easy to download from the PSN store.

The hype for the game has been steadily building, and fans are eager to dive in as soon as they get the chance.

“Ohhh nice, can't wait!” exclaimed one player.

“Huge W. Thank you so much for taking the time to do this,” comments another, over on Twitter.

Blades of Fire is an action game where players can forge their own weapons, combining aspects to create the abilities needed to vanquish your foes.

Each weapon will vary greatly, and the way you craft each one will determine how you can use it.

This mechanic, on top of some gorgeous visuals, has players excited.

On Twitter, the positivity keeps rolling in with one person saying, “Excellent! I'm pumped to see demos making a comeback. I'll definitely be downloading this one.”

“Awesome news!! Thank you!” comments another user.

There’s not long to wait until you can forge your weapons and start swinging for heads, but if you can’t wait any longer, the demo should satisfy you for a while longer.

This one has the potential to be a huge release for 2025, keeping the great games coming.

The developers, MercurySteam, have been inundated with positive messages and said, “We can't wait to give you more info! (We think you're going to like what we're up to.)”
