There's a new free download available for all PS5 players now, and better yet, you won't even need PlayStation Plus for it.

While the ever-ballooning size of new video games can be a little frustrating for gamers on a budget, there are plenty of cheaper options out there.

Platform holders like Sony and Microsoft regularly hold sales to allow you to grab games at a fraction of their retail price.

Speaking of new PS5 games, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle just hit PlayStation.

And sometimes these games even come with free demos, so you can try before you buy.

Last year, we got a glimpse of the upcoming stylish rhythm game Unbeatable, which features gorgeous anime visuals and a kick-ass soundtrack.

It's almost like it combines the vibes of Scott Pilgrim with the temper of a lost Gorillaz music video. Basically, it was made for me.

Now, you can grab a short playable demo on the PlayStation Store for a small slice of what to expect in the full game.

Set in a world where music has been criminalised, you play as a band that have been made fugitives of the law.

Unbeatable has an adventure mode, featuring original music to jam and colourful characters to meet. There's also an arcade mode with challenges and unlocks directly related to the expansive soundtrack listing.

In addition to rhythm attack mini games to complete, Unbeatable also has a wide open world to explore. This is where the story will progress, and you'll be able to engage with different characters as part of branching conversations.

There's still no word on when Unbeatable will release. Publisher PlayStack insists it will be available in 2025, so it shouldn't be long to go.

Considering a demo is now available, it's likely that development for the game is approaching its end and we'll hear a release date announcement soon.

In addition to PlayStation 5, Unbeatable will also be coming to PC and Xbox Series X/S.

There's no word if PlayStack is considering the Switch 2, which would be a shame as this seems like the perfect game for a handheld device.
