PlayStation gamers can download a free game, which could be considered somewhat of a cult-classic that was originally released in 2008.
It’s always nice to save money when it comes to maintaining our beloved hobby of playing video games, especially when it’s a full game and not a demo. Sure, a free game isn't always a blessing, because it can still result in time we’d rather not lose.
That being said, despite the annoyance of losing some of our valuable free time on a game that may suck, at least it hasn't put a dent in our ever-depleting bank balance.

With that in mind, as brought to our attention by PlayStation Lifestyle, one such game is called Wizard101.
Originally released in 2008 on PC, developed and published by KingsIsle Entertainment, Wizard101 is a free-to-play MMORPG that looks to be one for fans of Harry Potter and Hogwarts Legacy.
Now, after 17 years, the game in question is available on consoles. “Unleash your inner magic and prepare to unravel the mysteries surrounding a dead professor gone rogue,” reads the synopsis of Wizard101.
“Darkness threatens to engulf the Spiral as you master powerful spells, explore over 22 whimsical worlds, and team up with friends in this nostalgic wizard turn-based deckbuilding MMORPG.”
What’s more, if you’re a subscriber to PlayStation Plus, you can also claim the free ‘Spiral Guardians’ DLC pack. The DLC pack includes: the Guardian’s Outfit, a Jade Oni Pet, a Feisty Fire Kitten Pet and finally, five Professor’s Hoard Packs.
Better still, once you’ve claimed this free pack, as with all other pieces of free PlayStation Plus DLC, even if your subscription has expired, you’ll still get to keep the content.

Judging by its official website, it looks like Wizard101 has plenty of events to keep gamers busy, so with a bit of luck, it will offer plenty of reasons to indulge in its spell-binding goodness.
However, with Wizard101 being a free-to-play game, it does have in-game purchase enticements, so it’s perhaps worth keeping that in mind before playing. Hopefully, you can still have plenty of fun without feeling the need to spend money to progress, if you don’t want to.
While Wizard101 isn't currently available on Nintendo Switch, the developers intend that it will eventually be released on the hybrid system one day.
Wizard101 is not only available on PC, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, but also on Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One. Happy days!
