Marvelās Spider-Man fans can earn a bonus freebie off PlayStation just for playing the game, easy-peasy.
Thatās seemingly the only new Spider-Man content youāre getting too, as both Insomniac Games and PlayStation have been radio-silent on new games and planned DLC expansions.
Check out Marvelās Spider-Man 2 below
At the time of writing weāre still waiting on news for Marvelās The Wolverine, thereās a potential Venom spin-off game in the works, and Marvelās Spider-Man 2 has planned DLC expansions but no hints as to what theyāll be or when theyāll drop.
In the meantime though perhaps you should direct your attention to PlayStation Stars, which is reportedly working after weeks of technical difficulties preventing users from accessing it. That being said even if you canāt access it youāll still be completing challenges in the background, worry not.
Advert
The current Marvelās Spider-Man 2 challenge is called āExterminator,ā and involves acquiring the PlayStation trophy of the same name.
In order to earn this trophy youāll need to deal with all of the symbiote nests infesting New York, which will only become available during the gameās third act.
Once youāve eliminated all of them and play the game a bit more youāll have completed the challenge and can claim your reward.
What is the reward you may ask? Itās none other than the Symbiote Canister digital collectible, a recreation of the canister Peter and Miles catch Venom in following the Symbiote Spider-Man boss fight.
Advert
The digital collectible can be stored and displayed on a digital shelf found in the PlayStation Stars app, and unfortunately you canāt do much more with it than that.
Nevertheless itās a cool thing to own and unlocking it isnāt that hard, especially if youāre planning to 100% the game and play it again on New Game+ as youād simply unlock it anyway.
The deadline for this is 3 November, so youāve got plenty of time especially since weāre still waiting for those DLC expansions.
