Marvel’s Spider-Man is without a doubt one of the greatest superhero games ever made and while its sequel wasn’t quite as spectacular for some the third entry is shaping up to be something big.
When we last saw Peter Parker and Miles Morales our Spider-Men had just survived a harrowing encounter with the symbiote Venom.
After saving the day Peter decides it’s time to settle into suburban life leaving Miles as New York City’s one-and-only Spider-Man.
This led to a lot of speculation about Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 and whether it’d be more akin to Spider-Man: Miles Morales, focusing on Miles’ life as a superhero, with Peter being sidelined to a support role.

After months of silence though a new tease has fans theorising again.
In a since-deleted Instagram post, shared by Culture Crave on X, the model for Peter Parker in the Marvel’s Spider-Man games posted an image of themselves wearing facial capture equipment.
The caption read: “If you know, you know” and in case there was any more doubt he was doing the iconic Spider-Man webshooting hands.
Ben Jordan became Peter Parker’s face model for Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, taking over from John Bubniak who had the role in the PlayStation 4 version of Marvel’s Spider-Man. It was a controversial change that actually saw some backlash online.

Like it or not though Ben Jordan is once again who Peter will be modelled after in Marvel’s Spider-Man 3, but the real question is will he be playable?

As we said before at the end of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Peter hopes to settle into his new life with Mary Jane but with Norman Osbourne colluding with Doctor Octopus that’s unlikely to be the case for long.
We also have a new player in the mix, as when Miles Morales returns home he finds he meets Cindy Moon, who Marvel fans will recognise as Silk from the comics.
At the time of writing it’s unknown if Silk will be a playable character in the next game but give that its the third instalment and we now have a third Spider-Person in the mix it seems likely.
The prevailing theory is Norman Osbourne will assume his role as the Green Goblin and after being too much for Miles to handle Peter will put on the suit again and assist.
Ben Jordan’s involvement in the game adds credibility to that idea, but we’ll know for certain when the first official trailer drops, whenever that may be.
