Naughty Dog’s Intergalactic has just been given a small release window update, but don’t get too excited.
Now that Naughty Dog seems to have run out of Uncharted and Last of Us games to remaster (for the time being), it’s time to look forward to Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.
Announced last year, Intergalactic will be Naughty Dog’s next single-player blockbuster following 2020’s The Last of Us: Part 2.

It’s a sci-fi game which follows bounty hunter Jordan A. Mun, who becomes stranded on a remote planet while hunting down a criminal syndicate.
Fans of Uncharted and The Last of Us probably know what to expect from Naughty Dog at this point, and Intergalactic looks like it won’t disappoint.
As for when we’ll be able to play it though, it still seems to be a while away, according to a new update from Sony Interactive Entertainment.
Intergalactic, along with Marvel’s Wolverine, are two Sony first-party titles which currently don’t have a release date attached to them.

But now it seems Sony has provided a small update on the release plans for Intergalactic, though it’s nothing to get excited about.
Sony listed Ghost of Yōtei and Death Stranding 2 as tentpole titles releasing in 2025 in a recent investor call.

The slide also presented Intergalactic and Marvel’s Wolverine together as “upcoming” titles, confirming that Sony is done announcing its 2025 slate for PS5.
Although we knew there was no way Intergalactic was coming in 2025, it’s interesting that Sony has lumped it together with Wolverine. It perhaps hints at plans to release both in the same year, in either 2026 or 2027.
Still, don’t take this as confirmation either way. It’s possible we might not see Intergalactic until 2027 or beyond, at which point Sony might even be readying up for the next PlayStation console.
