Fans of Ghost of Tsushima have been eagerly looking forward to Ghost of Yotei over recent months, with a whole new adventure waiting for us in the wilds of Japan.

While we knew it was coming, we didn't know quite when we'd get to set out on another tale of vengeance, but Sony just pulled up on social media, dropped a new trailer, plus a release date.

Ghost of Yotei is launching on 2 October 2025

It turns out we'll be heading back into this acclaimed world on 2 October 2025, so you can mark your calendars now.

The trailer accompanying the date makes the game look better than ever, and has us incredibly excited to play.

A simple 30-second snippet introduces us to several masked characters, all of which are those we'll be seeking out as we travel the gorgeous region of Yotei.

Atsu, calling herself a "wandering spirit, seeking vengeance," will be hunting down these six members of a gang called the Yotei Six - The Snake, The Oni, The Kitsune, The Spider, The Dragon, and a lord above them all.

You can see the short trailer over on Twitter, but PlayStation has uploaded a much longer, and more detailed look over on YouTube.

There are plenty of swords, and mysterious figures, as you'd expect, and of course, we get glimpses of the sumptuous world surrounding these characters.

"We thought we killed your whole family," says The Snake, as sparks of fires fly all around, creating a gorgeous scene that will surely look outstanding when it launches on PS5 in October.

Some brutal familial betrayals are playing out as the lord stabs Atsu, calling her 'little wolf,' before she ventures out to hunt down those who killed her family.

As expected, it looks superb, with stunning vistas, bombastic action, and plenty of spattering blood raining down around everyone.
