Sony is in the midst of celebrating a very specific anniversary that makes me feel very old, and they’re giving away some God of War Ragnarök freebies to celebrate.

If you can believe it, PlayStation Plus is 15 years old. Or, it’s just about to turn 15 years old? Sony is being kind of vague about the specifics.

Anyway, they released a bunch of different freebies to celebrate the milestone, as revealed last month on the PlayStation Blog. This included stuff like the Valorant PS Plus Pack, a Sony Pictures Core discount, and even a free weekend of PlayStation Plus (which you have already missed, by the way).

Well, it seems the celebrations aren’t over yet, as they also announced yesterday that a new wave of freebies is on its way.

Alongside announcing that Lies of P, Day Z, and My Hero One’s Justice 2 will be available to download as part of your PlayStation Plus subscription on August 5, they also revealed that PS Plus subscribers can “claim a special set” of PSN avatars next month, too.

These "15th Anniversary Avatars" feature "fan-favorite" titles, including Cyberpunk 2077, Hogwarts Legacy, Diablo IV, Twisted Metal, and even God of War Ragnarök.

Unfortunately, they didn’t actually give us a glimpse of said avatars, so we’ll have to wait until they drop to see what we’ll be getting our hands on.

We won’t have to wait long though, as the new avatars will be available on August 5, alongside the PlayStation Plus Monthly Games update.

Kinda funny that they literally just released a bunch of God of War PSN Avatars a couple of months back to celebrate the series anniversary, and now they’re already back with more. Whatever poor artist they’ve got cobbling these together behind the scenes is probably running out of ideas.
