God of War fans are losing it right now, following the announcements of several official job listings at God of War Ragnarök’s developer Santa Monica Studio.
It’s no secret that Sony is currently gearing up for a new God of War PlayStation game. Well, if it is supposed to be a secret, they’re doing a bloody terrible job at hiding it.
Several reports and leaks have been hitting the internet over the past few months regarding different, supposedly in-development God of War titles.
The most popular one is probably the most recent, which stated that Sony has been casting Middle Eastern actors for an unconfirmed AAA project, and that said unconfirmed project is actually a new God of War game set in Egypt.

Seems that Santa Monica Studio isn’t too bothered about hiding it any longer though, as they’ve just officially announced that they’re now hiring for their “new unannounced project”.
“SMS is looking for passionate artists, animators, and quality assurance to help us on our new unannounced project! Check out this month's open positions”, stated the official Santa Monica Studio account on Twitter.
Naturally, the commenters think this can only mean one thing.
“New God of war please! Just make it in Egypt!” commented user @Coolyou65.

“And give Kratos new abilities and weapons! (Maybe even bring back the old ones from the Greek trilogy even)”
“Is the new project a sequel to god of war Ragnarok,” replied user @Binger157841.
“Or is it a remake of one of the god of war series. Either 1, 2, or 3rd Game of god of war.”
Yeah, let’s be real for a second… there’s no way this “unannounced project” isn’t a new God of War game.

I know Cory Balrog and the team are still hard at work on that “sci-fi” game they’ve been cooking up for the last few years, but that’s not really unannounced, is it? Sure, we don’t know anything about it, but Cory keeps talking about the game, so we know it exists.
Besides, if that game really has been in development for seven whole years (as the rumours have implied), I certainly don’t think Santa Monica Studio would be hiring Concept Artists for it…
