Cyberpunk 2077 gets surprise free download you can grab today

Sony has just revealed which brand-new games will be arriving to its PlayStation Plus library and alongside some underrated bangers, one much-loved RPG will also be free to download this month.

Just moments ago, Sony announced 10 games which will be added to the PlayStation Plus library throughout July and alongside titles such as Planet Zoo, Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, and Abiotic Factor, one much-loved CD Projekt RED RPG has also been added.

Available for both Premium and Extra PS Plus members, Cyberpunk 2077 will be free to download starting from right now.

Not only that but to celebrate the 15th anniversary of PlayStation Plus, the Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty DLC will also receive a 30% discount, exclusive for PS Plus members.

That discount will be eligible from now until 23 July, so if you find yourself wanting more after you have completed the base game, don’t miss out on Cyberpunk 2077’s first and only DLC.

Cyberpunk 2077 will be available for both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 users and the PlayStation blog description reads as follows: “Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world action-adventure from the creators of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, CD Projekt Red. Set in Night City, a megalopolis obsessed with power, glamour and body modification, you play as V, a mercenary outlaw going after a one-of-a-kind implant that is the key to immortality."

"Customise your character and playstyle as you take on jobs, build a reputation, and unlock upgrades. The relationships you forge and the choices you make will shape the story and the world around you. Legends are made here. What will yours be?”

This is the perfect time to dive into Cyberpunk 2077 as in recent days, it has hit record numbers in Steam which many believe is thanks to the announcement of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners season two.

The Netflix anime, which is inspired by the CD Projekt RED universe, was a hit back in 2022 and now its second season is on the way.

So if you are yet to experience the beauty and horrors of Night City, July will be the perfect month to do so thanks to PlayStation Plus.
