Bloodborne Gamers Marking Their Calendars For 24 September

Copium

Bloodborne gamers everywhere are taking a big huff of copium once more following a major announcement from PlayStation.

In case you missed the news, PlayStation has finally confirmed the long-rumoured September State Of Play.

The 35-minute presentation will take place 24 September at 2pm PT / 5pm ET / 11pm CEST, and will focus on reveals and news from developers around the world.

We'd be willing to be that Marvel's Wolverine will be a major part of the show, and rumours abound that a Venom spinoff could also feature.

However, real ones are turning their attention to PlayStation and FromSoftware's oft-neglected Bloodborne.

It's worth noting that by all accounts there's absolutely nothing going on with Bloodborne right now, but that isn't stopping gamers (myself included) from attempting to manifest a remaster, remake, or even sequel. Hell, I'd take the smallest acknowledgement from Sony that the game exists.

"BLOODBORNE REMAKE THIS IS THE ONE I CAN FEEL IT," one fan writes on Twitter.

"Bloodborne port, this time fo sho," one PC gamers adds.

A third jokes: "Who's gonna look like the bigger clown once the State of PlayStation ends, Bloodborne fans or Wolverine fans?"

As much as I'd love Bloodborne to come back, I certainly wouldn't get too excited.

One game we do know will be at the State Of Play is Saros, the stylish new title from Housemarque.

"We’ll share new looks at anticipated third-party and indie titles, plus updates from some of our teams at PlayStation Studios," PlayStation writes in a blog post. "Including an extended look at Saros, Housemarque’s mysterious new title arriving next year. Look forward to nearly five minutes of gameplay captured on PS5."

Marvel's Wolverine is, as mentioned, also looking extremely likely. I'd imagine a 2026 release window will be confirmed.

We've also the long-rumoured God of War spinoff/prequel, a metroidvania that returns Kratos to Ancient Greece. I'm definitely intrigued by that.

Beyond that, my personal pie-in-the-sky wishes include a teaser for Marvel's Spider-Man 3, Uncharted 5, and a new Astro Bot game. Let's see what happens tomorrow.
