Bloodborne remaster accidentally teased early, fans agree

Just hand it over already

Bloodborne fans are adamant there’s a remaster reveal coming, as Sony Interactive Entertainment has taken down the 60fps Bloodborne mod.

You’ll likely have seen last year that a group of talented modders finally got a stable version of Bloodborne working on PC, along with mods to improve the graphics and framerates.

It’s something the PlayStation version of the game still can’t do, even if you’re playing on PS5

PlayStation fans have been perplexed for years as to why Sony hasn’t done a simple remaster of the game yet, as even FromSoftware developers have expressed interest in returning to the game.

With how many new soulslike fans were brought in with Elden Ring and its Shadow Of The Erdtree DLC it feels like a no-brainer, but we’re seemingly no closer to getting the remaster.

That is until now, as the creator of the Bloodborne 60fps mod has since taken down the mod due to a DMCA issued by Sony.

While it's likely just Sony protecting its intellectual property many fans are taking it as a sign that an official remaster is on the way, and the company doesn’t want the mod interfering with potential sales.

Replying to a Dexterto tweet sharing the news one fan stated “they let him distribute for almost 4 years. A Bloodborne remaster is probably on the way.”

Another called it “a shame but I’m sure people will be more forgiving if they ever release a remaster.”

Sony also caught a few stray remarks comparing it to Nintendo, which also has a no-acceptance policy when it comes to fan creations using its IP.

With how many remasters and remakes have been released for the PlayStation 5 over the years it seems inevitable that it’ll be Bloodborne’s turn at some point, the real question is why has it taken so long?
