It is hard to believe that it has almost been thirty-years since The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was first released.

Widely regarded as one of the best The Legend of Zelda titles of all time, Ocarina of Time was first released back in 1998 for the Nintendo 64 and follows Link as he travels across Hyrule in an attempt to stop the evil Ganondorf.

Praised by critics and consumers alike, Ocarina of Time is as loved today as it was back in the 90s so it is no wonder that one team has come together to release an unofficial PC port of the game.

Ship of Harkinian is the name of the PC port and is available to download for free for all PC players.

This is one of two unofficial ports for Ocarina of Time with the other being the Open Ocarina.

As for Ship of Harkinian, it supports frame-rates of up to 250FPS as well as coming alongside a Nintendo 64 mode so that players can experience the game as it would have originally looked back in 1998.

Last but not least, the game is now compatible with both the Mac OS and WiiU so there are more platforms to play it on than ever.

Back in 2022, the creators behind Ship of Harkinian released another exciting update for the mod titled Rachael Alfa.

This came with a free camera mode, an item randomiser and a multitude of cheat codes.

The built-in randomiser allows players to “shuffle what rewards you get from things like chests, skulltulas and more” which supports “endless replayability”.

A higher frame-rate means that you are “no longer constrained by 90s console hardware, your experience will now be as smooth as your modern GPU and monitor can handle”.

You can find out more about Ship of Harkinian here but it is a must-have for all fans of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
