The Witcher fans can grab the classic RPG for free right now

Any opportunity to play as Geralt is one we'll take

The Witcher is a gift that keeps on giving, its legacy one that all of us will remember even if we’re not avid fans. It’s given gamers so much that, in return for our loyalty, we can grab the classic The Witcher for free.

The original RPG is available on GOG and will cost you nothing, you simply need to know how to unlock this goodie. You see, upon visiting GOG, it’s easy to believe there’s no free version of The Witcher: Enhanced Edition and that you have to pay £1.09. That’s cheap, but we want to do better than cheap, we want free.

Return to the beginning in The Witcher: Enhanced Edition

So, to avoid forking out any money, you need to visit this link and subscribe to the newsletter; in doing so, you not only get a copy of the first game but you also get a free GWENT Card Keg. We know, it sounds too good to be true, but we can promise you this deal is real. However, as with all amazing offers, it has a tight time limit.

Beyond the strict deadline, there’s also the fact that, if you don’t have an account with GOG already, you’ll need to create one. Not that it’s particularly time-consuming, but we realise some gamers prefer not having to sign up for things simply to get the goods.

Although you have to make an account, just think of all you’re getting: Geralt, back in his early days, slashing and killing monsters wherever he goes, the challenging landscape and NPCs creating a rich tapestry for you to explore. This is such a beloved RPG that it’s unsurprising that the voice of Geralt, Dough Cockle, wants to voice the White Wolf indefinitely.

With fans now convinced Geralt will return in The Witcher 4, there’s no better time than now to return to the origins of the story, without spending a single penny for such a privilege.

We know we'll be diving back in to the life of a monster hunter, and hope to see you alongside us doing the same!
