We’re well over halfway through the year, but there are plenty of exciting game releases to come before 2025 is through.
Gears of War: Reloaded, Cronos: The New Dawn, Borderlands 4, Dying Light: The Beast, Silent Hill f, Ghost of Yōtei, Battlefield 6, Little Nightmares 3, Pokémon Legends Z-A, and The Outer Worlds 2 are just some of the games that’ll soon land.
Vampires: Bloodlord Rising is another title you may want to add to your wishlist, especially if you’re a fan of The Witcher and Hogwarts Legacy.
Developed by Mehuman Games, Vampires: Bloodlord Rising is an upcoming RPG meets survival sim that’s set to launch on Steam in early access on 23 October 2025, just in time for Halloween.

“You are a vampire. Build a castle, manage your clan and expand your hold over Sangavia. Develop your character, experience a dramatic story in an open world and rule the land either alone or with your friends in co-op mode,” teases the synopsis.
Players will step into the role of Dragos, the survivor of a vampire attack who is now, of course, a vampire himself.
Trying to find his place within the food chain all whilst dealing with his responsibility towards the people he swore to protect, Dragos must adapt to his new life in Sangavia, unravelling the secrets of its past.
As the synopsis suggests, players will build a castle, run a clan, and see to Dragos’ needs all whilst experiencing a “cinematic story” filled with “gut-wrenching decisions that will decide the fate of Sangavia forever”.

It all sounds very intriguing.
The game boasts a huge open world, filled with forests, dungeons, swamps and more.
You’ll be able to power up, decide the fate of those who wish to be your follower, and access a wide array of side missions.
And it’s worth pointing out that there are multiple endings, so there’s definite replayability here, especially as you can enjoy Vampires: Bloodlord Rising alone or with a friend via co-op.

Of course, it awaits to be seen if the game is as good as we’re hoping; you may be able to sample it for free before its early access release date though.
A free public playtest is set to begin soon, although an exact start date hasn’t been confirmed.
In order to register your interest, head over to the game’s Steam page, scroll down to where it says ‘Join the Vampires: Bloodlord Rising Playtest’ and click ‘Request Access’.
Hopefully, if you’re selected, you should be able to dive in in the next few weeks.
