Despite Bethesda surprising fans last month with the release of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, the return of an original has inspired some fans to head back to the lands of Skyrim.
Luckily, they have every reason to, considering this hefty overhaul aims to completely rework the magic system of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
Check out the official trailer for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim below!
Despite first being released well over a decade ago, Skyrim is as beloved now as it was back then with hordes of players still booting up the game and exploring all that Bethesda had to offer in the latest The Elder Scrolls title.

Not only that but with The Elder Scrolls VI still nowhere to be seen, it makes even more sense that players are still enthralled with Skyrim.
Another reason is down to the game’s dedicated modding community who have regularly released exciting new content for Skyrim over the past 10 years.
That is definitely the case for NexusMods users SimonMagus616 and Sanjayraj85 who have worked on bringing the 'Mysticism 2' mod to the Bethesda classic.
“Mysticism 2 is a complete overhaul of Skyrim’s magic system, designed to balance existing spells and add powerful new magical effects to the game,” the mod description reads.

It is also worth noting that this is a repost of an original mod which has since been taken down due to the user deleting their account.
However, the mod aims to fix bugs in Skyrim’s vanilla magic system by filling in the gaps of skill progression, as well as adding in spells found in some of the previous The Elder Scrolls titles.
“These spells are designed to feel like they belong in the world of Skyrim, both mechanically and aesthetically. By adding new spells and re-balancing existing spells as part of the same project, Mysticism is able to offer users a coherent and balanced magical experience throughout the early, middle, and late game.”
Mysticism adds hundreds of bug fixes and balance adjustments to vanilla spells, expanded lore-friendly archetypes, the addition of poison and sun spells, gameplay improvements such as one-handed Master spells and adjusted cast times, as well as the addition of over 200 new spells added to the game’s vendors and distributed across loot.

The spell list can be found on the mod page but it is clear to see that this will greatly improve the experience of any players who like to go down a magical route throughout their gameplay.
Mysticism is free to download for all players who own The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on PC.
