The Elder Scrolls VI, one of the most elusive games in years, was announced many moons ago but yet, we still haven't seen any gameplay let alone its release date.

The Elder Scrolls VI was announced by Bethesda six years ago at E3 2018, yes, six years ago. What’s more, it was announced that long ago, E3 doesn't exist anymore and many fans now fear that The Elder Scrolls VI won't be released until the next console generation.

Hopefully, by the time Bethesda graces us with the presence of The Elder Scrolls VI, it will be well worth the wait. Until then, we still have the gift that keeps on giving, and that’s the legendary 2011 predecessor, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

Other than being a fantastic game and released on every console generation since its inception, Skyrim is one of the most popular video games of all time with dedicated fans still getting enjoyment from the RPG for over a decade. One of the main reasons (other than constant re-releases) that Skyrim remains so popular is thanks to its ever-vibrant modding community.

However, this particular Skyrim mod that is the topic of this article is next-level gorgeous which just makes me want The Elder Scrolls VI even more. Powered by an Nvidia RTX 4090, the YouTube channel Digital Dreams has showcased an incredible curation of mods complete with ray-tracing and ultra-settings giving Skyrim a magical next-gen graphics overhaul.

Best of all, as long as you own the ‘Special Edition’ version of Skyrim on PC and have a beast of a system, you can download the mods for free right now. Details on all the mods needed to make Skyrim look this good can be found in the description section of the Digital Dreams ‘Skyrim Ultra Modded graphics 3100+Mods - Wunduniik Modlist with Complete ray tracing’ video.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is out now on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch. Of course, the magic mod featured in this article is a PC-only deal.
