Red Dead Redemption 2 is about to get a ton of new content all thanks to its ever-vibrant modding community.

Despite releasing nearly seven years ago (yes, it’s really been that long), there’s still a lot to enjoy in Rockstar Games’ stunning Wild West world, Red Dead Redemption 2 - especially when its community continues to breathe new life into the game.

Check out the Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer below!

Aside from its compelling single-player campaign, which is so dense that there are probably loads of secrets that we’ve missed to this day, players can interact with its charming (and some not-so) NPCs, play a game of poker, collect dinosaur bones, hunt legendary animals, and much more.

Even when you’ve had your fill of the single-player offerings, you can then cause loads more mayhem with other players across the world with Red Dead Online.

However, if you play Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC, then you can take advantage of the wonderful modding community. One such mod is called ‘Homestead Robberies’ created by RedPeds and is available to download for free via Nexusmods.

In a nutshell, this mod will dynamically spawn two homesteads into the map for you to perform a mini-solo heist to gain loot such as in-game currency and other hidden valuables. But be warned, these homesteads will be guarded by aggressive NPCs.

The NPCs guarding the homesteads will warn you about trying anything funny and if you fail to heed their warning, they will attack. The NPCs will react before, during and after the fight.

Once you’ve cleared the two homesteads, they will disappear and others will take their place. The creator of this mod has noted that this content is in its beta phase and will expand over time.

Sadly, as is the nature of most mods, ‘Homestead Robberies’ is a PC exclusive. For the rest of us, we can play Red Dead Redemption 2 as intended on PlayStation and Xbox.
