If you’re anything like us, you’ll have already played through Red Dead Redemption 2 several times, and are always on the lookout for new things to see, or indeed, new ways to play.

That’s why mods are perfect for changing things up, whether that’s adding vampires to the Wild West, or as this mod attempts, new ways to traverse the Red Dead Redemption 2 map.

You might remember the heady days of cheats in games - and we’re not talking about the sweats in Call of Duty: Warzone - but the time when you’d type in a password or perform a combination of button presses for something like big head mode.

This mod kind of feels like that, overhauling your in-game wagon and allowing you to play with almost no limits.

Ultimate Wagon Overhaul is a must if you want to get from point A to point B, especially if the route between the two is filled with lakes or craggy hills that would otherwise be a pain to cross.

The folks over on Reddit have certainly seen the benefit of installing this add-on, with one player noting, “I haven’t had this much fun in a while.”

That’s because the mod basically turns your wagon into an all-terrain vehicle, along with giving it the ability to fly. Yes, you read that right.

Delivering chaos across the Wild West

If you feel the need, you can take to the skies like some kind of cowboy Santa Claus, delivering joy (or chaos) to various parts of the game’s world.

Sure, it’s not what Rockstar Games intended, but who’s to say we can’t have a good time soaring through the skies to get to our favourite missions a bit quicker?

Some might view this as game-breaking, but we consider it a bit of fun and perfect for a new playthrough, when we don’t want to trudge all the way across the countryside just to reach an NPC.

Helpfully, this mod works with many others and can be used on both keyboard and controller set-ups.

So, if you find yourself wanting to go back to the world of Red Dead Redemption, but fancy a new way of getting around, then you’d do well to give this mod a try.
