Red Dead Redemption 2 free download adds whole new mode, thanks to fans

Red Dead Redemption 2 is a damn-near perfect video game - one that I could play forever and probably still uncover new things to do.

Even so, I think we can all agree the lack of any real post-launch DLC for the single-player component still stings.

Sure, Rockstar Games is hard at work on GTA VI - and more power to 'em - but we're greedy for as much Western action as we can get our hands on.

Enter a Red Dead Redemption 2 mod that effectively acts as a New Game Plus option, something that Rockstar incredibly never added as an official option.

While I'm sure a number of you are already counting down the days to Red Dead Redemption 3, that's gonna be a long old wait. Better to get settled in and make the most of what we have.

This unofficial NG+ was created by sezzco over at NexusMods, and aims to replicate the average NG+ experience as authentically as possible. In other words, you can play through the game again with all the upgrades and gear you'd expect to have in such a mode.

"Disclaimer!!!" the mod creator writes, "I couldn’t get everything [included] because it will break the game; I did everything as legit as possible so the game won’t break. I put everything you need in the Inventory so you can complete Item Request, Craft Talisman/Trinkets. DON’T sell or discard if you don’t want to collect them again."

• All Cores Maxed
• Coffee Percolator, Pocket Watch and Lock Breaker Owned
• Offhand Holster Unlocked

• All Trapper Clothes Owned (Except Legendary Animal Clothes)
• All Reinforced Equipment Owned (Except Master Hunter Holster)
• All Rare Hats and Melee Weapons Collected
• Otis Miller Revolver Collected (In Weapon Locker)

I don't know about you, but I think it's worth it just for a level 10 beard.
