With thousands of mods available for it, Red Dead Redemption 2 is no exception and has welcomed mods that add new quests, locations, cosmetics and more.

However, mods aren’t for everyone or they may just be a bit too daunting.

Luckily, Red Dead Redemption 2: Ultimate is a way of enhancing the base game without changing too much.

Ultimate consists of a series of mods all aimed at improving NPC physics, overhauling and fixing any issues with combat, refining graphics and general quality-of-life essentials.

Basically, this is a vanilla+ overhaul for the Rockstar title.

“The ultimate mod list that will transform RDR 2 into a genuine third-person action and adventure shooter and spiritual successor for the franchise in 2022,” the official description reads.

“These are the top daily mods that will keep you playing this again and again.”

The main features of the mod pack are to make combat more accessible for controller users, as well as enhancing settings for mouse and keyboard.

It also improves player and NPC physics by “reproducing the cinematic and dynamic joy of advanced ragdoll physics”.

Thanks to a combat tweak, combat can now accommodate players who do not rely on auto aim/aim assistance and don’t use the Dead Eye feature in-game.

You can pick and choose which mods you want to install from this list and they range from the Cut Dialogue Restoration and Enhancement, Remove Screen Effects and the Crime and Law Rebalance and Enhancement mods.

They are all free to download and add to Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC so don’t miss out if you want to get into modding without all the fuss.
