The Red Dead Redemption 2 Epilogue chapter is a somewhat heartwarming end to a heartbreaking tale and now thanks to one creator, you will be able to vastly improve your experience playing it.

As fans will know, the Epilogue chapter of Red Dead Redemption 2 allows players to take on the role of John Marston for the first time since the events of Red Dead Redemption. Showing his attempt at tying up any loose ends and making a life for him, his wife and child is a heartwarming end to the tale and gets everything ready for Red Dead Redemption. The chapter already features a heartbreaking secret, but the addition of one small mod will make the experience even better.

Check out the official trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2 below!

The mod courtesy of GuiCORLEONEx794 on Nexus Mods is titled the ‘John Marston Restoration Project’ and aims to “restore John Marston's original hair, head, and body models, as well as including fixes to clothes and added NPC assets.” The addition of this mod to your game will “improve the experience of playing as John Marston” and aim to “separate John’s character from Arthur’s as much as possible.”

The Project restores the beta models of Marston’s head from the pre-release screenshots as well as adding new clothing items such as the ones taken from his NPC model. The new clothing can be purchased from any Fence under the “Buy” option. Once purchased, they can be found in your wardrobe at any time. If you wish to try out this mod, make sure to check out its requirements so it will run smoothly in your game.

Of course, none of us want to experience the ending of Red Dead Redemption 2 ever again (at least without a box of tissues or a shoulder to cry on), but the scenes themselves were recently voted as one of gaming’s most emotional moments by fans. It remains to be seen what is next for Rockstar Games’ Red Dead Redemption series but hopefully we will be more emotionally prepared next time.
