I don’t know about you, but I’m running out of reasons to clown.

Grand Theft Auto VI may still be on track to launch this coming fall / autumn, but it remains without a concrete release date or second trailer.

Neither arrived during Take-Two Interactive’s recent earnings call as many of us assumed they might, nor did a trailer air during Sony’s State of Play.

What or when should we pin our hopes on next?

Admittedly, Rockstar being Rockstar, the trailer will probably just drop on a random Tuesday, surprising us all.

In the meantime, it’s a modded version of Rockstar’s modern classic Red Dead Redemption 2 that’s drawing fan attention.

You see, the modded graphics are giving GTA VI fans an idea of what a contemporary Rockstar release might look like.

For now, you’ll have to settle for GTA VI’s original trailer.

This modding project is the work of tech wizard and YouTuber Digital Dreams who showed Red Dead Redemption 2 running in 8K at 100fps.

They used a GeForce RTX 5090 graphics card and AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU, so you’ll need a decent bit of kit if you want to emulate Digital Dreams’ efforts.

If you’re sitting there thinking, “No problem,” then you can find the creator’s ReShade preset linked in the description of the graphical showcase.

“Incredible. Imagine what GTA VI will look like,” began one user.

“Yeah. This is why I’d like a serious gaming rig,” added another.

Of course, here, Red Dead Redemption 2 is running on PC - and GTA VI is not currently due to land on the platform.

Supposedly, it’ll be ported over further down the road but for now, it’s scheduled to release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox series X/S only.

We should, for the most part, still see some dazzling graphics - although it’s going to be interesting to see how the Series S holds up.
