If you’re a fan of Stardew Valley and are on the lookout for a cosy new game on Steam, then we might just have the perfect recommendation for you.
Stardew Valley is one of the most beloved indie darlings of all time, ever since it first graced us with its presence in 2016. Since that time, the game has been released on multiple platforms across generations, and with a constant wealth of content updates, it's evolved for the better, making the experience feel fresh even for the most devoted fans.
Due to the continued success of Stardew Valley, developed and published by ConcernedApe, many other indie game prospects will be waiting in the wings, hoping to be the next sensation taking the video game industry by storm. That being said, becoming the next Stardew Valley is no easy task, but that won’t stop games such as the ones that are the topic of today’s article.

What is the community saying about Spiritstead?
“I bought this game because of the art style, and it's a simplistic but satisfying idle-esque city builder gameplay loop that made me want more after finishing it after about six hours,” said YEET (not Jey Uso, probably).
“Very adorable game; I usually am not a fan of top-view city builders. However, this one is quite special and very fun, a lot of eye candy. Music has cosy vibes, and I got sucked into playing it for quite some time,” wrote nelkk777.
“A sweet game, if a little smaller than expected. I loved the animation and had no gameplay issues. I loved the little puzzles to get the spirits too!” explained Choufleur.
“Cute, simplistic game that is enjoyable to play,” added grimmie_grim.
“COZZYYYYYY!!!!!!!” yelled esophoria.
At the time of writing, Spiritstead does not have a critic or user score on Metacritic, but that will no doubt change in the coming days and weeks ahead.
Spiritstead has a 10% discount for a limited time
Spiritstead has a special launch discount, bringing the price down from an already low £7.99/$9.99 to £7.19/$8.99. This 10% discount will be available until Thursday, August 20, 2026. However, it will surely be discounted in future Steam sales.
