Bloodborne's Brutal Boss Rush Mode Is Everything I've Ever Wanted

Get this in the remaster

Bloodborne is a much better game with mods, which is another reason why Sony needs to lock-in and give us an official PC port of the game.

Seriously, with so many PlayStation exclusives coming to PC, it’s bizarre that Bloodborne hasn’t been given the same treatment yet.

It might not appeal to gamers in the same way God Of War or The Last Of Us might, but there are thousands of fans who’d buy the game on PC including those who’ve never even played it before. This is especially true since Elden Ring and Elden Ring: Nightreign dropped, providing a decent entry-point into the world of soulslikes.

Bloodborne can be played on PC through unofficial ports, though you wouldn’t know they’re unofficial given the quality.

If you do play the game on PC, consider this Boss Rush Mode mod for your playthrough, as it makes for a great challenge for the end of your playthrough.

The premise is simple and straightforward, giving you the option to replay boss fights whenever you like from the Hunter’s Dream hub area.

There’s a total of 22 bosses in the game so fighting them one after another should be quite the challenge, and should only be undertaken by skilled and confident players.

Out of all of FromSoftware’s games, minus Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice which already has one, Bloodborne feels like the game most fitting to have a Boss Rush mode.

It’s a speedrunner's dream as one of the game’s best weapons is given to you immediately and every boss has some sort of exploit of gimmick that lets you shred their healthbar in seconds, provided you’ve got the right build.

While I’m not a fan of every boss, I do think Bloodborne has some of the best bosses in FromSoftware’s repertoire, like Vicar Amelia, Gehrman, and the DLC bosses like Ludwig.

If you’re a fan of Bloodborne and fancy giving yourself a new challenge, I’d more than recommend checking out the mod, which you can download for free from NexusMods.

When Sony eventually realises it can’t delay a re-release or remaster of Bloodborne any longer, I hope the original team comes back to add new features to the game, including more outfits and a Boss Rush mode akin to Sekiro’s.
