Bloodborne 4K 60fps remaster is everything we've ever wanted

Bloodborne looks too good to be true on PC

You can play Bloodborne on PC at 4K 60fps right now, and it’s one of the greatest things we’ve ever seen.

It’s a crime that Bloodborne still hasn’t gotten that remaster/re-release on PlayStation 5 and PC, even more so because it's something that FromSoftware wants to do but can’t.

Check out Bloodborne below.

Since the game was published by Sony, the Bloodborne IP won’t be touched without the company’s say so, but that hasn’t stopped Sony from alluding to it in upcoming games like Astro Bot.

So, for the time being the PlayStation 4 version is the only one we can play, and while it’s still one of the greatest titles FromSoftware has put out, that 30fps lock is always a killer on repeat playthroughs.

Worry not though, as you can play Bloodborne on PC, just not officially, and with a bit of tweaking you can get it running at 4K 60fps.

You can see it with your own eyes in a video by DigitalFoundry, and it looks like everything we could have possibly wanted.

Everything from the exploration, to hacking away at werewolves and the boss fight against Father Gascoigne look silky smooth for once, and it’s a crying shame we can’t get this kind of experience on the PlayStation 5.

Given all the buzz around soulsborne titles from Elden Ring: Shadow Of The Erdtree, perhaps it’s time for FromSoftware to take a break from its next big AAA release, and revisit Bloodborne to finally give the fans what they’ve been dying for for years now.

Personally, I’d either take that or a full-on remake of the first Dark Souls game, something akin to what they did with Demon Souls on PS5, but drop the exclusivity.

If you’re yet to play Bloodborne for yourself, you can either play it on a PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5, or as God intended through some technical wizardry on PC.
