Assassin's Creed 'dream' setting finally realised in new gameplay

Assassin's Creed 'dream' setting finally realised in new gameplay

One Assassin's Creed fan has created their dream game using a series of mods.

One fan has dreamt up their ideal Assassin’s Creed game using a series of mods and I’ll admit, the final product is something I think we’d all love to play.

On the whole, I’d say it’s been a successful year for Assassin’s Creed fans. Mirage may not have trod revolutionary new ground, but it did bring the franchise back to its stealth-based roots which provided for a refreshing instalment. That being said, I am excited for Codename Red which is expected to land next year. It’s due to be the final entry in the franchise’s RPG series, and will be set in feudal Japan - a location fans have long-wished to explore. Another dream location, at least for YouTuber Altair Stealth, would be the 1900s.

Take a look at the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Codename Red in action below.

“One of the favourite pastimes of any Assassin's Creed fan is daydreaming about future settings the franchise could potentially go to,” Altair Stealth said. “It's something we've been doing since the beginning of the franchise, and it's something we'll probably still do years down the line. [...] In this video, I realised one of my top desires for an AC Game, a 1900s entry. I created a character using the AC Victory outfit mod, which is one of the greatest outfits in the series, and equipped this badass assassin with Altair's sword and a modern MK3 gun. The combination of this old ornate sword with a modern gun is the perfect encapsulation of how a modern Assassin would equip himself.”

As mentioned, the YouTuber used the Assassin’s Creed Victory Outfit mod by LordOfThe9, in addition to Apex Reshade by haskeer212, ACUFixes by NameTaken3125, Modern Pistol MK3 by Sliderv2, and Sword of Altair by Halzoid98. The user also added in some modern enemies, using AC Unity as a base. Take a look below.

“We can only dream of something like this in the future,” a fellow fan wrote, while another added, “Damn this is so cool. The possibilities are endless with this combination of mods”. One comment read, “I want a modern day Assassin’s Creed game so bad.” Maybe one day.
