The Legend of Zelda fans will be floored by this new-gen Breath of the Wild visual overhaul.

The Legend of Zelda series is one of the most well-known video game franchises of all time ever since its inception on the NES in 1986 when it set an industry standard for what’s expected of an action-adventure game on console.

For each console generation since the original Nintendo in the 80s, we’ve been treated to a new entry in The Legend of Zelda series each improving on the last, and the Nintendo Switch is no exception.

One of the most popular entries on the Nintendo Switch (and Wii U) is 2017’s The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, a game that many may consider to be the best in the entire series.

“After a 100-year slumber, Link wakes up alone in a world he no longer remembers. Now the legendary hero must explore a vast and dangerous land and regain his memories before Hyrule is lost forever,” reads the synopsis. “Armed only with what he can scavenge, Link sets out to find answers and the resources needed to survive.”

While the visuals on the Nintendo Switch are beginning to look a little dated, there’s no denying that Breath of the Wild as well as its sequel, Tears of the Kingdom still look absolutely gorgeous.

However, when playing Nintendo games on PC via emulation, just about any game can look even better, especially if you’ve got a beast of a system as demonstrated by the YouTube channel, Digital Dreams.

Taking advantage of an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 and Beyond all Limits ray tracing enhancement, Breath of the Wild looks stunning at a glorious 4K resolution and 60 frames-per-second.

There is no word as to when we’ll be getting the next entry in The Legend of Zelda series but with the launch of the Nintendo Switch 2 this year, hopefully, the new game isn't too far away.
