We’ve almost made it, my friends.

The upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 Direct is nearly upon us, which means we should receive answers to several of our burning questions.

We’re all itching to find out more about the console’s specs and features, as well as its release date and price point.

So too though are we keen to discover the Nintendo Switch 2’s launch line-up, but there’s no clarification on whether the Direct will address that or remain hardware focused.

I’m hoping we at least get a tease of what’s on the way, beyond the already announced Mario Kart 9.

Many are under the impression that we may see remasters of Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom released, which feels plausible.

It’s a tad too early for a major new Zelda entry, but Nintendo isn’t going to want to have a launch line-up without a Zelda component, I’d imagine.

This is all speculation though so for now, we’re going to have to remain patient.

In the meantime, however, I’d like to direct your attention towards an incredible The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess fan remaster.

Take a look at the Nintendo Switch 2 reveal video below.

This project is the work of YouTuber Henriko Magnifico Showcase and I want to be upfront by saying that it’s not something you’re easily going to be able to recreate yourself.

It’s not a mod or a romhack.

Instead, Henriko has run a legally acquired copy of Twilight Princess through an emulator that injects custom 4K textures and shaders.

You can admire the project though.

If you want to attempt to copy the YouTuber’s efforts, a texture pack is available to download via his website.

Needless to say, fans are head over heels for this visual upgrade.

“Ripped the textures straight from my memories. This is how incredible it looked to me when I was young,” stated one viewer.

“I loved how Twilight Princess looked before but now, wow. This is magnificent,” added another.

I concur. I do wonder whether we’ll see any classic titles return via remakes or remasters on the Nintendo Switch 2.

It’s worth pondering.
