The development of the Pokémon games has become known for being quite leaky over the years and it seems that trend isn't showing signs of changing any time soon.
Back in October 2024, developer Game Freak suffered one of the largest leaks into video game history, a moment that became known as the "Teraleak," in which many of the details surrounding their plans for upcoming games, as well as some interesting tidbits about older projects, emerged online.
Though they haven't detailed exactly how this took place, it's believed to be a data breach of massive proportions and one that saw a lot of the company's internal documents published online.
Even more information has now emerged, including many of the company's plans around the upcoming Generation 10 release of the beloved creature battling series.
Pokémon Generation 10 Could Continue Some Major Recent Changes

As first reported by Game Rant, this latest set of leaks includes information about the potential setting of the next game as well as a look at a very interesting Pikachu animation and the Professor character who could feature as our mentor and guide.
Players of Pokémon Legends: Z-A will know that game takes place entirely inside the metropolis of Lumiose City. It seems the developer is sticking with that approach with the next game also set to feature at least one big city.
The image shared online features modern skyscrapers alongside traditional buildings, with that approach supported by earlier leaks confirming the inclusion of Roton scooter traversal in the Gen 10 game.
The leaks also included a look at a very interesting Pikachu design and animation. In those videos, the Pokémon glows and pulsates, though what exactly this means for its in-game status is unclear.
Those leaks also included a look at potential Generation 10 professor who is shown in an image by silhouette and appears to once again be an older man. Some of the image has been painted and includes a large bushy beard for the character meaning we likely haven't seen him before in our previous adventures.
Lastly, there's a look at the Pokémon centre in the game which shows a tropical theme which may have wide implications for the overall aesthetic of the game, though that remains unclear at this point.
It's interesting to see the developer stick with the large city approach, as Lumiose City proved to be quite divisive. Time will tell if they add to that formula with anything else to sweeten the deal a little.
