Has the first game for the Nintendo Switch 2 been revealed already? It would appear so, and, as expected, gamers are getting excited about the prospects of this news.

According to several social media accounts, some of which are more reliable than others, the Bayonetta trilogy will be released on the Nintendo Switch 2, with said collection including “visual/performance enhancements”.

Imagine how amazing Super Mario Bros. Wonder would look on the Nintendo Switch 2!

Of course, while this sounds incredible, the Switch 2 feels like a fever dream at this point because of how long we’ve been anticipating its announcement and launch. Consequently, while many are saying this rumour is believable, erring on the side of caution is wise.

“Yeah, I'm kinda 50/50 on this one. It's not conclusive, but it's also not nothing,” explained one onlooker. “Definitely not a source I'd take 100% at face value, but probably at least worth keeping an eye on, imo. In addition to the Bayonetta claims, they were also hinting at another 2D Metroid for 2025 a while back, so it'll be interesting to see if anything else pans out or if that Dread thing was a fluke.”

It’s rare we get to say this, but look at the users of Reddit being logical and sensible about something – maybe 2024 will be an amazing year after all!

The same leaker who posted about the games, also said that we should hear about the next Switch by “the end of the fiscal year”, citing that Nintendo often changes its plans so it could be sooner or later; basically, it sounds like they’re covering their bases in case they’re wrong.

We’d love this leak to be true, though, both about the console and Bayonetta. However, until Nintendo reveals it, we’re going to remain hopeful but also realistic in our expectations, as we suggest everyone else should as well.
