The Nintendo Switch 2 has had an interesting launch year with a rather limited selection of first-party games.
We’ve had some bangers like Donkey Kong Bananza and Kirby Air Riders but with less exciting titles like Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Imprisonment and unfortunately Metroid Prime 4: Beyond it’s shaped up to be a bit of a hit-or-miss line-up.
One Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive that didn’t get much credit is Drag x Drive, a game that relies heavily on motion controls and puts players in a wheelchair as they compete in sporting events.
It was a bit of a head-turner when it was announced, unfortunately it seems like the majority of players left it hanging when the console launched.

For Nintendo Switch 2 owners that haven’t given it a go and don’t want to pay for something they might enjoy, perhaps the new demo will convince you.
It’s live now and according to its description it’ll let you “get up to speed in the tutorial, challenge bots to 3-vs-3 matches and explore the park.” The park is the game’s social area.

You won’t be able to jump online of course otherwise you’d essentially just be playing the full game for free.
While certainly being one of the stranger games Nintendo has released over the past few years it’s probably worth a go while it’s free-to-play, what’s the worst that can happen?
The Nintendo Switch 2’s Future
Nintendo Switch 2 is off to a decent start but it sounds like it’ll get into the swing of things next year.
Plenty of new games have been announced so far ranging from a new Mario sports title and Pokémon Pokopia, which looks like Animal Crossing but actually hides a Fallout-like twist.
One game I’m particularly excited for is FromSoftware’s next game, The Duskbloods, which shocked everyone when it was announced as a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive, especially because it looks an awful lot like Bloodborne.
I’d imagine there are plenty of other games in the works too that we don’t currently know about, so maybe there’s a Nintendo Direct planned for the start of 2025 to give us an idea of what’s coming out throughout the year.
If you’re yet to upgrade to the Nintendo Switch 2 I honestly couldn’t blame you as for the time being the exclusive game library just isn’t there yet.
Hold on though, as 2026 might be the console’s time to shine.
