Animal Crossing free downloads announced for you to claim through February

So many characters to choose from

Enjoy personalising your Nintendo Switch Online profile? Are you a fan of Animal Crossing?

If you answered yes to both of those questions, you’ll love what I have to tell you as a new batch of Animal Crossing NSO icons has arrived.

Available to redeem now and throughout the month of February, the icons are available at the usual price of 10 platinum points.

“But you said they were free?” Well, my friend, platinum points is Nintendo’s free currency.

You’ll earn platinum points for completing easy tasks via the My Nintendo Rewards website.

It’s also worth checking all newsletter emails from Nintendo as I was given 100 free platinum points over the Christmas period, redeemable via a code.

Once you’ve acquired those free points, there are a whopping 35 icons to choose from, so I’m sure your favourite islander is amongst them.

Hello Kitty Island Adventure is a must-play for fans of Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

There are a couple of well known faces included in the line-up, like the Able Sisters.

For the most part though, Nintendo has excluded the likes of Isabelle, Tom Nook, and Blathers, instead opting to draw attention to some lesser celebrated faces.

As I said, there are 35 characters to choose from but to highlight just a few of those in the line-up, Anicotti, Lily, Annalisa, Pompom, and Zoe are amongst those included.

Alongside these, there are also five backgrounds to choose from, which’ll set you back just 5 points each, as well as five frames. These also cost five points each.

To repeat, these should stick around for the month of February so there’s no major rush although I always think it’s best to act sooner rather than later.

Will the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 bring us a successor to Animal Crossing: New Horizons?

I’m really hoping so but there’s practically no evidence for us to go on.

Fans have taken to debating when they think the franchise’s next instalment will arrive regardless.

The bottom line is that we’re all hoping it’s soon.
