GTA 6 'Trailer 2' theories are driving fans nuts

Has a GTA 6 fan correctly predicted all Rockstar Games' announcements this year and beyond?

Following years of rumours and leaks, despite GTA VI being officially revealed at the end of 2023, some fans still cannot stop speculating about what’s next for the highly anticipated Rockstar Games title.

In December 2023, Rockstar Games released the first official trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI and it was smashing records within mere days, hours even. Rockstar Games did not announce an exact release date for GTA VI other than a vague 2025 release window. This naturally has left fans wondering when it will be released and when we’ll be treated to the next gameplay footage.

Check out the GTA VI trailer below!

Speaking of which, being the source of all sorts of speculation, a fan on Reddit has planned out a Grand Theft Auto VI announcement roadmap predicting what and when Rockstar Games will treat us to more goodness. While it’s always fun to speculate, it seems that some theories are driving some fans nuts. “This is the month!” exclaimed Redditor Top_Information3534, predicting that we’ll be treated to the second GTA VI trailer this month and a launch trailer in February 2025.

“Are you really predicting THREE trailers this year? Absolutely no chance. The gameplay trailer won't come out until one to three months before release,” replied ToppleToes. “February 2025 is a bit optimistic don't you think? May-June seems more realistic.”

Many of the fellow users on the Reddit thread replied with comments such as “Source: Trust me bro” and “Source: His wife’s boyfriend,” as well as a host of very sarcastic gifs. There’s a chance that some of the predictions posted by user Top_Information3534 may be correct but I wouldn't take it as gospel. After all, unconfirmed rumours should be taken with a pinch of salt until proven otherwise.

“If it even has a chance of being delayed to early 2026, we will not be seeing another trailer till fall, at the earliest, if this year at all. If we get a trailer in the next two months, then it's definitely coming out in 2025,” suggested a positive ScottyKillhammer. “I would even go as far as to say that if we get a trailer by the next earnings call, then it's likely still on track for an FY2025 release (March '25 or sooner).”

Grand Theft Auto VI will be released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. A PC release hasn't been announced yet but we’re sure it will arrive at some point.
