Fallout 4 players urged to immediately change one setting after downloading new update

Fallout 4 players need to change this one setting for the best overall experience

Fallout 4 players who’ve been enjoying the recent new-gen update are being urged to change one setting for the best experience.

Sales for the Fallout series skyrocketed thanks to the Amazon Prime Video show, and for good reason as it near-perfectly recreated the video game world whilst telling an original story to be enjoyed by new and old fans alike.

If you’ve recently started Fallout 4 for the very first time, here’s everything you need to know about the game

Fallout 4 in particular has seen the most interest by new fans, and it couldn’t be a better time to explore the Commonwealth thanks to the game’s latest update.

Players on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 can now play the game with an enhanced framerate, better resolution, in addition to free Creation Club items inspired by the Enclave, a faction found in early Fallout games.

The update also gives players the option to priortise framerate or resolution in the settings menu, with fans arguing 60fps is the only way to go.

In a Reddit thread reporting on the new update, one player, Scorned, praised Bethesda’s latest work, saying “The way they did things in this version is much better than what they did a few weeks ago. Select the target framerate, select the visual mode. Done. Simple.

They continued by saying they’ve “played a bit and personally I think selecting Visuals at 60 is the way to go.”

Of course it doesn’t really matter either way, as it’s down to your personal preference, however I’m in agreement that more frames is the best way to go especially with how much combat is in the game.

The new-gen update for Fallout 4 is available to download now on Xbox and PlayStation platforms, and is the best excuse you’ll ever get to replay it, or play it for the first time.
