A Cyberpunk 2077 prequel spin-off has been launched on Kickstarter, letting you bring the fight for power in Night City to your own home.

Cyberpunk Red: Combat Zone is an expansion to the Cyberpunk Red series, and is currently accepting pledges on Kickstarter which will grant you one of the expansion packs as well as additional bonuses for dedicated backers.

Take a look at the trailer for upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 DLC, Phantom Liberty, releasing later this year

In case you weren’t aware, Cyberpunk Red is a miniature roleplaying game, similar to Warhammer 40k, in the sense, you control little figurines on a board and have them fight it out in strategic combat. Canonically it takes place between the years 2020 and 2077 in the Cyberpunk universe.

The Combat Zone expansion puts you in a battle for power on the streets of Night City between the rival gangs the Maelstrom and the Tyger Claws.

The goal is to build up your forces by hiring mercenaries, equipping your members with high-powered weapons and powerups, and attaining street cred to become the ruling power in the streets of Night City.

The base set will set you back $120 and will net you the required miniatures, the board, a rule book, the cards and dice required to play, as well as some cutout scenery to decorate the board with.

If you want to support the set further though, you could opt to pledge more and receive more, with subsequent purchases coming with the base set as well as several bonuses. Pledges range from the aforementioned $120 set to ones costing a whopping $1,000.

Bonuses include additional scenery packs, more figurines including brand new gangs to enter the fray with, and additional add-on sets to expand the game’s roster and scale.

It’s worth checking out if you’re a fan of the lore, or fancy a fun tabletop game to play with friends.

Cyberpunk Red: Combat Zone is available for pledge on Kickstarter right now.
