Cyberpunk 2077 players are still overlooking a significant part of the map

Was this always there?

Cyberpunk 2077 players are questioning a significant part of the map that may or may not have been there all along.

Despite initially releasing in 2020, it’s amazing that five years later, players are still making discoveries in CD Projekt RED’s sci-fi RPG Cyberpunk 2077.

That’s one of the great things about open-world RPGs, whether it’s Cyberpunk 2077, Skyrim, Fallout 4 or The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Many years after launch, players are always going to find something new.

That being said, with a map the size of Cyberpunk 2077’s Night City brimming with life, activities, and so much to see, sometimes, it’s not always obvious what has or hasn't been there all along.

“Did this underwater bridge always exist, or did this come with the Phantom Liberty expansion? I could've sworn this tunnel didn't exist before,” asked Redditor cassavacakes.

As you might expect, fellow Cyberpunk 2077 fans on the thread were keen to provide the all-important answers.

“It’s always been there. There are even several base game secrets,” replied rhn18.

“I love driving through that tunnel. For those that don't know, on the ceiling of the tunnel, some sections are clear so you can see the water while you're in there,” added AlphaZulu.

“Damn, didn't know that. I swear this bridge has always been ‘blocked’. I also don't remember needing to drive through this tunnel,” said cassavacakes.

Rhn18 was helpful once more and replied with, “Like many other major or useful roads in the city, the ‘GPS’ navigation rarely takes you there. Gotta know when to use it instead of the indicated route.”

So, in a nutshell, the underwater tunnel has always been there, and if you want to discover hidden places like this, don’t always trust your in-game GPS.

Cyberpunk 2077 is out now on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch 2.
